This course provides an understanding of the terms, concepts and services involved with retirement plans. The course is divided into the following modules:

  • Sources of Regulation
  • Defined Contribution Plans
  • Requirements of Qualified Plans
  • Roles and Processes

In this course, you will learn:

  • The differences between qualified and non qualified plans
  • The characteristics of defined contribution plans and other retirement savings plans
  • The roles that Congress and various agencies play in regulating retirement plans
  • The different types of defined contribution plans
  • Defined contribution plan transactions
  • The roles played by the plan sponsor, administrator and employee
  • The processes involved with installing and administering defined contribution plans and investing plan assets.
